Coronet Industries recovers fluorine from the process of making Defluorinated Phosphate and converts it into potassium fluoroborate, or KBF 4. KBF 4 is used to make aluminum alloy commonly used in household products such as aluminum cans and aluminum foil.

Coronet has the capacity to produce about 2,600 tons of KBF 4 annually.
- The plant operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The company's 980-acre site includes a 205-acre, 18-hole golf course that serves as the home to Plant City Golf Club.
